Seventh Graders Study Ancient Greek Drama

Seventh Graders Study Ancient Greek Drama
by Mrs. Allen

In English class, the seventh graders are reading the ancient greek tragedy of Agamemnon. At our desks (which are now arranged in a formation to mimic the Theater of Dionysus) we read and analyze the text one day, and perform it aloud the next. Students who have music this semester will participate in a five-day musical residency, connecting themes on moments of pivotal decisions from both the play and the work of Beethoven. Those students will prepare a multisensory performance and present in the auditorium at 1:30 on May 13th. Please feel free to come by and see the results of their work!
